The Huntington explains its ISI introduction numbers, HBG accession numbers and Schick cross-plus-clone numbers. “77-4,” for example, identifies an individual selected from cross 77; it is not a species name.
Keep the selected clone attached to its record
A flower that resembles a catalogue photograph is not sufficient authentication. Record the supplier and vegetative chain; keep seed-grown descendants under their own identities.

Published Huntington cultivation notes reflect its collection and conditions. Use them as a starting reference, then adjust for your light, season, pot and drying rate.
